The therapist Ms. Rivas has over 13 years of experience as a licensed clinical social work with a dual-language and multicultural background. She has worked with a variety of groups, such as LGBTQ+ and those with problems with addiction to drugs. Mrs. Rivas is part of the Behavioral Health Perinatal Team working with pre and postpartum women, specializes in trauma-informed care and offers an EMDR treatment for adults. She provides group and individual counseling, as well as a Medication-Assisted Therapy Program and referrals to specialty care, and Women's Support Group. Amanda is a tireless advocate for finding permanent animal homes through her role as volunteer with the Best Friends Animal Society Volunteer. She is a firm believer in the motto from Best Friends, "Save Them all" She is determined to make Los Angeles into a city which doesn't harm animals. Amanda gets the most enjoyment out of each day, and continuously challenges herself to meet the goals she has set and to achieve the goals she has set for herself.
